Patriotes win the Cheetah Challenge

Gabriel LeBlanc and Maxim Gallant each scored 2 goals to help the Louis-J.-Robichaud Patriotes defeat the tournament’s host, C.P. Allen Cheetahs, 5-0 in the Cheetah Challenge’s final this past weekend.  Patrick Ouellette had the other goal while goaltender Zachary Richard recorded the shutout.
The Patriotes, who won all their games during the preliminaries, were victorious against the Halifax West Warriors in one semi-final by a 6-3 score.  In the other semi-final, the Cheetahs shutout the tournament’s defending champs, Mathieu-Martin Matadors, 2-0.  The Matadors also got to the semi-finals undefeated.
