The Harrison Trimble Trojans won the Carl Ward Invitational tournament this past weekend in Sackville. In the final, Drew Betts score four times to help the Trojans defeat the Woodstock Thunder 9-5. Carson Léger and Owen Shediac, each with a pair, along with Cole MacFadyen completed the scoring for Harrison Trimble. Drew Betts also led his team in the semi-final scoring 5 goals in a 7-1 win over the St. Stephen Spartans. The Trojans opened the tournament with a 6-3 loss to the Horton Griffins but then defeated the Simonds Seabees and, the tournament host, Tantramar Titans 8-0 and 5-1, respectively, in the preliminary round games. The Moncton High Purple Knights (0-2-1) and the Titans (1-1-1) were eliminated following the preliminaries.
