Matadors are the Cheetah Challenge champions

The Mathieu-Martin Matadors have won, for the 2nd consecutive year, the Cheetah Challenge tournament that was played in Bedford, NS this past weekend. Miguel Beattie scored twice in the 3-1 victory against the C.P. Allen Cheetahs during the championship game. Maxime Doiron also found the back of the net while goaltender Annick Boudreau made 26 saves. In the semi-final, Boudreau, with 51 saves, helped the Matadors to edge the Auburn Eagles 3-2 in a shootout. Beattie, Maxime Doiron, and Maxime Prillo (winning goal in the shootout) took care of the offense. The Eagles had won the game between the two teams in the preliminaries. The Cheetahs reached the final after defeating the Harrison Trimble Trojans in the semi-finals. The Matadors completed the preliminaries with 2 wins and a loss then were victorious against the Louis-J.-Robichaud Patriotes in the quarter-finals.
