Black Kats are provincial champs

The Fredericton High Black Kats captured the NBIAA’s provincial AAA title with a 3-1 win over the Mathieu-Martin Matadors in the championship game Sunday at the UNIplex Centre in Dieppe. Brady Wood, Kyle Demerchant, and Samson Mayo scored the Black Kats goals and Brandon LeBlanc replied for the Matadors. Fredericton High’s goaltender, Jayden Chiasson, had 36 saves for the win while Mathieu-Martin’s William Gray faced 31 shots in the loss.
