Black Kats are provincial champs

Kyle Demerchant’s goal at 2:35 of the second overtime period gave the Fredericton High Black Kats a 4-3 victory over the Leo Hayes Lions in the provincial championship game. Sam Malloy, Carter Melanson, and Nick Robichaud also scored for the Black Kats while Isaac Jewett, Tyler Leaman, and Tejas Harvey replied for the Lions.
In the morning games, the Black Kats played the Clément-Cormier Cavaliers to a 2-2 tie. Goal scorers were Sam Malloy and Cam Arnason for the Black Kats with Malcom Allain and Olivier Breau answering for the Cavaliers. The Lions got 3 goals from Tyler Leaman to edge the Louis-J.-Robichaud Patriotes 3-2. Yanic LeBlanc and Patrice LeBlanc scored for the Patriotes.
